Better keep going

I haven't posted a blog for over a month. Naughty naughty. Still as no one appears to be reading them except me I suppose it doesn't really matter.

Feeling very disappointed with myinternetbiz.com as I don't appear to be getting any hits. Surprising since others seem to be doing very well at it. Must be me. Bad workmen always blame their tools.

Sue the better half has taken an interest in family history again so I have been doing some as well. Very interesting although a bit fustrating at times.

I heard from the Prague branch of the family this week. They went on holiday to Kos recently but all went down with a tummy bug. Shame since it appears to have spoiled their holiday.

It's over a month until I go on mine. Going to Pompei. Never been before so really looking forward to it.

Joke for today:- A woman is talking to her friends. " Of course it was me that made my husband the millionaire that he is today" "How much did he have before you married him" asks a friend.
"Oh he was a billionaire then" the wife replies

Thought for today:- Why do only dogs have to sit at the kerb? You never see horses doing it.

Action this day:- Be happy

My YourNetBiz.com

Hi there

Bit of a mouthful that my YourNetBiz.com isn't it?

Beautiful day today, sun shining and all's right with the world. Well isn't it? It's only we humans who are making most of the mess.

Bit of an expensive day really. Had to fork out nearly £600 for repairs to Sue's car. The clutch went completely just after she discovered one of the tyres was in a bad way and had to be replaced.
With my internet business I paid a supposedly kosher company to get me guaranteed hits on my website www.ezinternettraining.com but so far whilst I have been receiving visitors no one has taken it any further. Strange I can see the potential but other s can't. Perhaps they think I'm the odd one out? We shall see? I'm convinced this is the way forward.

Sue is following Kelloggs Special K diet so I bought her a range of the Kelloggs Special K cereals and some of the Special K bars. Her diet is working very well although I think she looks lovely as she is and certainly doesn't appear to be overweight. Still if she feels happier losing a few pounds then good luck to her.

Thought for today: Aren't we lucky to be able to read and write? Do you feel blessed?

Todays joke:- It's such a shame to ruin such beautifal blonde hair by dying the roots black.

The tax man cometh

Hi there,

I had my accountant ring up today to make an appointment to see me about my housing account.

The tax man is querying the expenses incurred when I bought a house to rent out in Doncaster in 2006.

This has been going on for ages. The laugh is that because of various purchases I made that tax year I actually made a loss so there is no tax to pay anyrate. Still I suppose it gives them something to do rather than chase after the Members of Parliament who skived off from their expenses. Interesting that quite a few of them have said that they have repaid the money but no one has said anything about paying interest on the amount. Us lesser mortals would be pulled over the coals for this and have to pay hefty fines.
Expect it will all be sorted out. It is only a very minor amount anyrate so I expect the accountants fees will be more. What a life! We are surrounded by control freaks.

Anyrate I had a good swim today and a pleasant walk with my springer spaniel Owen so alls well that ends well.

I haven't done much work on my ezinternettraining com today. I will do some more studying of Ezines and Solo Ads this evening. I mustn't let my enthusiasm wane.

Thought for today: When the going gets tough the tough get going

ezinternettraining.com

Hi there

Well I'm still here (I think)

I'm amazed at the amount of information being sent through emails. Ezines have a tremendous amount of members but the trouble is a lot of the information being sent is not really relevent to me.

I've just put out another solo ad so will be interesting to see what response I get. The main problem is that people get saturated with advertisements the whole time. Pity they should just read mine. Ha ha I am sending them to my website www.ezinternettraining.com to get more information on the YourNetBiz opportunity. I think it is great certainly the best information I have seen on learning about internet marketing but as they say the proof of the pudding is in the eating. So we shall see.

Does anyone else think that the standard keyboard needs changing. I keep pressing the caps lock key by mistake, I think it is in the wrong place but maybe that's just my carelessness.

I received a letter today from an organisation called Back on the Map. One of the properties I own is in Hendon a part of Sunderland and apparently this organisation is running the Middle Hendon Neighbourhood Renewal Project to "transform Hendon". This may be great but I am just a little surprised that the main building contractor Frank Haslam Milan may contact me "to discuss and assess REQUIRED external improvements to my property. If I am unable to attend the proposed meeting then they will write to me to provide me with details of the work planned and choices available to me. Hang on! Who asked me whether or not I wanted anything done to the property in the first place. I'm sure that they mean well but shouldn't we all be asked if we wanted the area changed in the first place. Talk about big brother.
Enough of my rant.

Thought for today. Why worry about things we can't change. lets concentrate on changing for the better those things we do have control over.

Joke for today: A new Army computer is put through it's paces. An officer types in a question "How far is it from the barrack gate to the armoury?" The computer replies "Five hundred" The officer types "Five hundred what?" The computer replies "Five hundred,SIR!"

What a beautiful day

A lovely warm summers day today. I took Owen my scatty English Springer Spaniel for a walk through the local fields. We are very lucky where we live because there are many large fields close by all within walking distance so we can get plenty of exercise. Surprisingly there never seem to be many people around so it is very relaxing especially as Owen can be a bit of a handful. I have had him nearly a year now and I am no nearer getting him trained than I was at the beginning. (Bad workmen always blame their tools!) Seriously though I have tried but just don't seem to get it right. I think he has got me better trained.

Sue (the better half) went running today or rather walking fast she tells me at Loughborough University. There were around 3000 women taking part in the "race for life" a run/walk to raise money for the Breast Cancer Charity. She told me how sad but interesting it was to read comments the ladies had on their backs remembering their love ones who had suffered from this terrible disease.

I read up today some more information on Ezines and in particular Solo Ads for my internet business YourNetBiz.com as so far my efforts have not been to rewarding by having few visits to my website www.ezinternettraining.com . Obviously I will have to improve my internet marketing!! I will get there!

Thought for today: Count your blessings. My mother always used to point out that there is always someone worse of than yourself.

Life is grand

Hi

Great day again today. Well I'm still alive so it must be!

I've got a solo ad for www.ezinternettraining.com being promoted on an ezine tomorrow so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it goes well.

Had a bit of bad news though as my son-in-law Paul has had to go into hospital again. I hope he will soon be better. He and my daughter Elizabeth have not had much luck lately so I'm hoping this will change for them soon because they deserve some good times.

I went and had my hair cut today. What happened to the old "short back and sides"? Now all done by numbers. Seems everything is a number these days.

A Wet Sunday Afternoon

Well haven't we had a lot of rain this weekend! We needed the rain but this was ridiculous.

Still I've now got my first solo ad for submission to the ezines. I didn't write it but got a professional to do it. This is for my www.ezinternettraining.com website. I also obtained a classified ad for this site so fingers crossed I should be in business.

I think I have eventually got the order with Dixons sorted out. I still can't fathom out what was wrong as there was certainly enough money in the account.

The roses in my garden are really looking great this year. Maybe the harder winter than usual has had something to do with it as they are blooming away much more prefusely now.

I had problems with coooking the meat today. Chris bought a large joint of beef but we are having trouble with the oven door. Sometimes for no apparent reason it comes slightly open and therefore shuts off. Happened this morning but I don't know for how lomg. When I went to carve I found it was quite bloody inside so had to cook it for a bit longer.

www.ezinternettraing.com

Hi there

My problems from yesteday continued today! For some reason the freezer I ordered for one of my rental apartments was not accepted because of a card problem. I'm still trying to sort out because I used a debit card and there is more than enough money in the account. Expect it will be sorted soon. Famous last words!
Went to my opticians today for routine check up. I will get some new glasses although eyes are quite good. Whilst I was in there the optician told me about an organisation for retired people that her mother belongs to so I looked them up on the internet. They are called u3a (University of 3rd age/ Looks really interesting and I was quite surprised a how large the organisation is. I will probably join as I am a yap (young age pensioner)
Does any one else have the same problem I do? That is when typing on the keyboard I keep pressing the caps lock in error. very annoying. Seems a silly place for it or is it just me?

I have again been trying out ezines for my www.ezinternettraing.com website. Amazing how much help and informationthere is out there. Whatever did we do before the internet? Exciting isn't it

I ordered some roses from one of my favourite rose growers David Austin(R). I went and looked around there nursery a year or so back. It was very interesting when they told me all about how new roses are developed. They are based in Albrighton Nr Wlverhampton WV7 3HB. www.ezinternettraining.com

Hi

Going to start with a moan today. I have been using my debit card to make some purchases on line for my website http://www.ezinternettraining.com/ and for one of my apartments I own.

Because of this I had Barclays Bank security ring up to confirm that I had, in fact made these purchases. Fair enough. It is good that these checks are in place. However my moan is that the gentleman who rang up was obviously a foreigner. No I'm not racist and have no objections to foreigners having jobs but why oh why do they have to be in positions where clarity of language is so important. Frankly I couldn't understand what he was talking about. Admittedly my hearing is not what it was but when I handed the phone to my son he couldn't understand either,

Enough of my rant.

I'm still looking up about cannabis. The cannabis smoke deposits about 3 to 5 times more carbon monoxide and tar on the lungs than tobacco smoke. And people say cannabis is not dangerous!

The cannabis saga continued

Hi all

I'm still interested in why people take cannabis and so I am continuing my education! Theoretical not practical!

There are serious health risks from smoking cannabis and none of the 7000 studies so far carried out have shown it to be safe. Cannabis actually contains more than 400 chemicals including most of the toxins found in tobacco smoke but often in HIGHER concentrations and one cannabis cigarette can deposit four times more tar into the lungs than a filtered tobacco cigarette. Ugh

Oh dear and youngsters still experiment. Hopefully not too many YAPS (young age pensioners are doing this. We already have too many vices!)

I am continuing to work on my internet business www.ezinternettraining.com . At present I am looking at Ezines. There is a tremendous amount of infromation out there about ezines so I am still taking it all in.

Joke for today: A mushroom walks into a bar and tries to pick up a beautiful woman with his chat. Go away says the woman I don't want anything to do with you. Why not says the mushroom. I'm a fun-gi.

What is cannabis?

Hi

Following on from my last blog I decided to find out what cannabis really is. Like most people who have not partaken (yes there are a few of us!) I didn't really know what it is.

I gather that cannabis is a general term for several pyschoactive preparations of the hemp plant Cannabis Sativa. (No jokes please about money for old rope!) They include marijuana leaf (grass, pot, weed or reefers), sinsemilla (skunk), made from the buds and flowers of female plants, resin (bhang, ganja, hashish) from the flowering heads of the plant and hashish oil, a tar like liquid distilled from hashish, Apparently cannabis contains at least 60 cannabinoids and the most active constituent is THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol0

The fact is that all forms of cannabis are mind altering drugs.

So why oh why do people have to take them when they can ruin your life?? Answers on a postcard please. Life is so precious and yet some of us take such rediculous risks.

Enough of my blathering. Life is too short.

This month I am concentrating on learning about Ezines to develope my internet business YourNetBiz so should be very interesting.

So far my blog doesn't seem to be getting anywhere but I will continue especially since I have found out my sons blog has received over 22,000 hits since he started.

Cannabis smoking and health thoughts

Hi

I went to meet my wife who is a smoking cessation counsellor and whilst waiting I looked at a leaflet all about cannabis smoking and health.

No I don't do drugs (well only if perscribed by a doctor!) but I was horrified to read about cannabis and what whose who use it are doing to themselves.

Did you know that smoking just three cannabis cigarettes is as dangerous as smoking 20 tobacco cigarettes? This is because the cannabis smokers draw more smoke, inhale more deeply and hold it in their lungs for longer. Also a driver's ability to brake quickly and keep the proper distance from another vehicle is impaired for up to 4 to 6 hours after smoking a single cannabis cigarette. That is long after the "high" has gone and if the person also drinks alcohol the accident risk increases considerably. Wow and they could be driving the vehicle next to us on the motorway!

Enough of this depression. The sun is shining the birds are singing and I have ample food, drink and shelter for today.

Owen, the mad English Springer Spaniel is panting away like an old steam engine. We have just been for a walk and it is pretty warm. Still he loves his walks (rather runs!) whatever the weather

I haven' t done any work on My Internet Business today although it is now called YourNetBiz.com. It is very exciting as I am learning a lot although there is quite a bit to take in. Internet Marketing is not quite as easy as some people make out although the system is quite simple. Just needs getting used to especially for a yap (young age pensioner like me) I'm getting there albeit slowly. It's quite exciting really.

Thought for today: Why do some people have to ruin the marvellous body we are all given. eg cannabis smokers.

Chelsea Flower Show

Went to the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday. First time so I was very surprised at how big it was.
I really enjoyed it. Most of the stands were so beautiful. I couldn't get over how much time and energy the contributors must have put in to get them so perfect.
The day before we had been to Oxford Street in London and I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of colours now in the shops. It seems we are in for a bright summer season.
So all in all it was a very bright couple of days.
So I didn't carry out any further work on YourNetBiz (my internet business) so will have to catch up next week.
There has been a tremendous lot of interest shown in the new set up and certainly I am very confident that we are going places. Up I mean!

YourNetBiz.com site launch

Hi

Great day yesterday with the launch of YourNetBiz.com This is stage 3 of My Internet Business.com but with a new name. Same company but tremendous new format.

Really exciting. If you want to see it go to http://www.ezinternettraining.com/. The number of products which you can promote is (as our American friends say) awesome. Certainly it is the basis for a very successful home business

If a young (not old!) fogey like me can do it any one can.

It is quite simple. Talking of simple why do some people have to make things so complicated.

Take the Members of Parliament expenses row for example. They are now talking about setting up an indepentant body to oversee them. Why not keep it simple? If they wish to represent a constituency then surely they should live in it or at least close by. If they can't then I'm sure someone else local would like to stand instead. Then if more than x miles from The House of Commons the state could provide them with an apartment to stay in when in London. That way WE own the property and any future gains would be for all of us. Also when the House is not sitting the apartments could be let out to tourists. A set daily allowance could be set for out of pocket expenses when the members have to be in London. Simple eh?

Thought for the day: When I was at school I learned to spell the word "myrhh" I have never had cause to write that word again (Tony Hawkes) What else in your life can you forget,

Action for today: Do something new

Waiting around for My Internet Business update

Hi all

My Internet Business Website is being updated. Looks very exciting but means I haven't been able to do any studying today.

Still the new systems look great.

Took Owen out today and we just got back intime before the heavens opened. Another few minutes and we would have got soaked.

The news is somewhat amusing, at least you either have to laugh or you'd cry at the antics our Members of Parliament are getting up to trying to avoid blame for milking the system. It's not my fault guv. The system allows me to cheat so I have to don't I?

Joke for today: Two Eskimos sitting in a kayakwere getting a little chilly. They lit a fire in the craft and it sank, proving you can't have your kayak and heat it.

A rainy Sunday

Well well so far no one is reading my blogs. Shame because they are so exciting!!

It is amazing how much information is in the back office of My Internet Business and the Turnkey Marketing Group. I certainly cannot fail if I follow the advice given. I'm very excited about it

I found an interesting comment written by a Mr Wattles many many years ago in which he states we should be grateful for politicians even if corrupt because the alternative is anarchy. Interesting thought in view of what is going on in the UK at present.

Owen (the mad English Springer Spaniel Dog) is sitting at my feet and behaving himself. Makes a change. I suppose I reall ought to take him for some more training.

Thought for today. Money is the servant. You are the master.

Can't Do Right for Doing Wrong

The long and winding road going downwards rather then heavenwards is as they say paved with good intentions. Which probably means you have lots of stones inscribed with the slogans " Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda". I'm feeling like this when it comes to this whole weird world of blogging. Could I have spent more time researching blogs before I started, should I have asked for more advice from more experienced bloggers in my turn key group and would I have been more effective if I can come up with a better email address then the huge long one I struggle to remember.

Still on the plus side I do feel I am learning a lot about blogging. It certainly seems to be a subject where the learning comes from doing rather then reading. I feel that when my Son talks about blogs I have at least a vague understanding of what he's going on about. Plus I know what people mean these days when they talk about Twitter. I thought that was something that birds and old ladies did.

Althoug it's slower than I would like right now I do feel that my internet business is starting to improve based on this practical experience. It's not easy but then again nothing worthwhile is.

Thought for the Day: Banish your doubts.

Joke of the Day: Marriage is not a lottery - you get a chance in a lottery

Another great day

Hi all

Yep another great day. I went swimming and trundled up and down the pool whilst others sped past. Still I enjoyed it.

There was a cool wind but the sun shone and the wallflowers in our local park smelt wonderful.

When I took Owen (the scatty English Springer Spaniel Dog) for his afternoon walk in the woods the bluebells were still lovely although a bit passed their peak. They have a lovely perfume too.

I continued with learning more about blogs through the back office of My Internent Business and Turnkey Marketing. There is so much helpful information available and I am covinced that this is the future. In fact I keep telling my youngest son Chris that when he is my age there will be preserved Malls (just like there are preserved Steam Trains now) so that the youngsters of the day will know what it was like to go shopping!! "What was a Wallmart dad?"

Joke of the day: What is the only real cure for dandruff? Baldness boom boom!

Thought for the day: Encourage creativity in others and have faith in them

Action for the day: Do at least one good deed and not be found out.

Have fun. Go chase the rabbits!

Sunday Break

Hi
Busy day again but as it is a Sunday I haven't worked on either My Internet Business or Turnkey Marketing.

So where have I been busy? In the garden. I am very keen on keeping a Natural garden as far as possible. The pond is full of frogs all different sizes! Some years ago the goldfish died and since then the frogs have taken over. Every February the surface is a heaving mass of frogs doing what comes naturally!! I need to clean it out though.
Today I was putting a mulch around the trees and roses just in case we have a fine summer. Here's hoping.

Thought for the day:- The old adage "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is"is not always correct. In fact suspicion, doubt and cynicism can sometimes stop us from taking advantage of excellent opportunities. (I'm certainly glad I put aside my doubts about My Internet Business and the Turnkey Marketing programme as it has come up trumps for me)

Joke of the day:- Advice to single girls - don't look for a husband, look for a batchelor. Boom boom!

Action for today: Just relax and be peaceful

Thinking about mentorship for My Internet Business and Turnkey Marketing

Hi

One advantage of being a Young Age Pensioner is supposed to be that you have plenty of time.
Ha ha. I've never been so busy in all my life but at least it is pleasant busyness.

I am very lucky in having excellent mentors in My Internet Business particularly Stuart who sponsored me. He was one of the founders of Turnkey Marketing and is very knowledgeable on
internet marketing. There is so much help and information I just have to find the time to avail myself of it.

Whilst taking Owen (my springer spaniel) for a walk the other day a little boy of about 5 or 6 was playing on his bike in his front garden. For some reason Owen doesn't like bikes and did his springer act. They are not called springer spaniels for nothing! Anyrate the little boy wanted to know what Owen was up to so I told him the reason. On my way back from the walk the little boy was still playing on his bike in his front garden. When he saw me he got off his bike and said "would your dog like a ride on my bike. He might like bikes then" How sweet. It is surprising what goes through the minds of little ones.

Here I am again

Well here I am again. You know that Young Age Pensioner with the batty dog.

I “rescued” him from a kennel last year. He had been found wandering and no one claimed him. I tell him I’m not surprised!! He is an English Springer Spaniel who was given the name of Owen. No wonder he is batty. Fancy giving an English Spaniel a Welsh name! He is not a Gorgi! Any rate he is great fun even if he is a handful.

I have been ploughing on with getting my head round some of the excellent information in the back office of My Internet Business and Turnkey Marketing. Yesterday I started looking at Ezines. I didn’t even know what an Ezine was really so the masses of information in the back office was really helpful particularly the step by step methods given. There is no doubt that once I have studied all the information available and visited the other recommended sites I will be an expert!!! (Have you noticed the advertisements under the “I am a PC banner “where they are using young children as an example as to how easy the systems are? The true test of how easy it is to be a PC is when old, sorry young, fogies like me are up to speed!)

Thought for the day.

If success was easy we’d all be successful so don’t be afraid to take baby steps. Don’t worry that others may laugh or see you as weak because every one had to start at one time. It is better to take baby steps than end up doing nothing at all. This is very much me with My Internet Business!

Joke of the day

A postman (or woman, we mustn’t be sexiest!) approached a house where there were new occupiers. Just as he approached the door a large dog came bounding out and chased him/her back down the front path. Unfortunately his hat fell off and the dog grabbed it. After slamming the gate shut on the dog the furious postman waited whilst the owner of the dog strolled down the front path.. As soon as the owner got near enough the postman told the owner exactly what he thought of his dog!! I’m too polite to give the actual words!. However all the owner said was “so what”. At this the postman screamed “ I don’t like your attitude to which the laid back owner replied “It’s not “my hat he chewed” but yours!! Boom Boom.

Objective for today. Give a smile to at least one stranger.

Catch you later. Have fun. As Owen would say “go chase de rabbits” (Don’t worry he never catches them)

One small step

A great philosopher once wrote, well to be honest I'm not sure if he was that great, or even a philosopher, in fact he may have been Homer Simpson, well regardless of who it was, someone said that every great journey must start with a small step.

Well my great journey into the mysteries of blogging begins here. With this post, my first post and hopefully the first of many as I share with you my journey into setting up my Internet Business.

For those of you who are wondering Y.A.P stands for Young Aged Pensioner. I made be retired but I am not old. An OAP is someone you see hobbling around a rest home and I have no plans to see one of those just yet. Even if my batty Dog and crazy family seem to be doing their best to send me round the bend enough so I can go into one.

I'm sure some of you might be thinking “Oh he's just some salesman whose going on about his Internet business and his TurnKey marketing to sucker me to something which is really complicated and you'd need a degree to figure out"

Not at all, I am just like you. I searched the web, I found Turn Key and IMB and like everyone I will be starting from the bottom as well. I don't expect it to be easy but then again nothing worthwhile ever is but I do know it will be worth it

So make sure you check back regularly as I will be updating you all on a regular basis to what I'm up to and maybe my thoughts on what's going on in the world today.

See you Soon,

John
